Description

• Apply strong technical knowledge to solve problems • Generate 3D models, renderings, and 2D drawings • Perform detailed mechanical analyses • Finalize designs using broad knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes • Fabricate and debug prototypes • Lead user experience and technical feasibility reviews • Document and communicate designs • Manage expectations on deliverables and schedules • Collaborate with external vendors throughout development cycle as a technical owner

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field • >5 years designing structures, enclosures, mechanisms, and assemblies • Excellent communication skills • Familiarity with product development process • Knowledge of diverse materials and manufacturing techniques • Strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals • Fluency in 3D CAD and 2D drawings • Proficiency in fabricating prototypes • Strong problem-solving skills • Bonus: Experience managing vendors for development and fabrication activities
